Training: NH Statewide SAR training - Mountain Weather

Lakes Region Search & Rescue participated in NH statewide SAR training alongside our colleagues from Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue, Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team , New England K-9 Search and Rescue , and UVWRT - Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team   NH-VT SAR Valley Wilderness Response with NH Fish and Game Law Enforcement Division and Operation Game Thief .

The day was sponsored by https://nhoutdoorcouncil.org/

The six hour training day included a variety of educational sessions.  One of these focused on understanding weather patterns in and around New Hampshire’s mountains and improving our ability to forecast changing mountain weather conditions.

Continued training like this helps our teams make better-informed decisions and operate more safely during missions.
